How to Use QuickFix in QuickStage Without Spending a Credit

QuickFix re-stages a QuickStage photo from your typed note and never uses a photo credit. Plans include 7, 20, 50 or 100 a month. Steps and rules.

tryquickstage.com is run by QuickStage.

QuickFix is the re-do button on your QuickStage results page: you type what's wrong with a staged photo, and we re-stage that photo with the correction applied. It never uses a photo credit. It draws on a separate QuickFix allowance instead: 7 a month on Basic, 20 on Pro, 50 on Studio and 100 on Agency, plus one free QuickFix for every new visitor.

The rest of this page covers where the button is, what to type, how the allowance resets, and when staging the photo again is the better move. Prices are as of October 2026.

What does QuickFix do, and what does it leave alone?

QuickFix re-generates one photo. It starts again from the photo you originally uploaded, with the same room type and style you picked, and applies your note on top. Three things follow from that:

  • It is a re-stage, not a touch-up. The whole photo is produced again, so look over the full frame afterwards, not only the spot you asked about.
  • The replacement takes the old version's place. The earlier result drops off your results page and the corrected one appears instead.
  • It doesn't change your choices. Room type and style carry over as they were.

QuickStage is built to keep walls, windows, floors and paint colors as photographed and to add only movable furniture and decor. QuickFix is for the times a result still misses, such as a picture hung across a window or a chair parked in a doorway.

How do you use QuickFix, step by step?

  1. Open your results page. This is the page where your staged photos appear, about 30 seconds after you send a room through the QuickStage uploader. Each finished photo has a before-and-after slider and a download link.
  2. Find the QuickFix link under the photo. It reads "QuickFix — re-stage if the AI made a mistake" and carries a small badge showing how many you have left.
  3. Click it and answer "What went wrong?" A text box opens. It is marked optional, and a blank note simply gets you a fresh attempt, but the note is what tells the re-do what to fix. Only the first 500 characters are used, so keep it short.
  4. Click "Re-stage for free". If you're on a paid account and haven't verified your email in this browser, we'll ask you to do that first and then bring you back to the same page.
  5. Wait for the replacement. The photo's card shows "QuickFix submitted — replacement is staging now" along with the number of QuickFixes you have remaining.
  6. Check the new version before you download. The download prompt asks you to confirm you've reviewed the image, and it offers a "Virtually Staged" watermark that is ticked by default.

If the corrected photo still isn't right, it has its own QuickFix link. Each re-do takes one QuickFix from your allowance. The allowance belongs to your account, not to a single photo.

How many QuickFix re-dos does each plan include?

How you use QuickStage QuickFix re-dos Staged photos Price
Free trial 1, one time 3, one time $0, no account or card
Pay-as-you-go No monthly allowance 1 per credit $1 per photo, no subscription
Basic 7 per month 75 per month $19.99 per month
Pro 20 per month 225 per month $39.99 per month
Studio 50 per month 650 per month $99.99 per month
Agency 100 per month 1,500 per month $199.99 per month

A few rules sit behind those numbers:

  • The allowance resets with your billing cycle. It goes back to your plan's number; unused QuickFixes don't stack on top.
  • Annual plans refresh monthly too. Paying yearly brings the Agency plan to as low as $0.11 per photo, and the QuickFix allowance still arrives a month at a time.
  • Upgrading lifts it right away. Your QuickFix balance is brought up to the new plan's number when the upgrade takes effect.
  • Buying $1 credits doesn't add QuickFixes. Pay-as-you-go credits buy staged photos only. The monthly allowance comes with a plan.
  • Cancelling ends it with the plan.

The live numbers are always on QuickStage's plan cards; trust that page if anything here goes out of date.

What happens when the allowance runs out, or a QuickFix fails?

When you're out, the badge shows 0 left and clicking QuickFix returns this message: "You've used your QuickFix allowance for this period. It resets with your next billing cycle." Your choices are to wait for the reset or to stage the photo again as a new upload, which uses one photo credit.

When a re-do can't start, you'll see "QuickFix dispatch failed. Please try again." That QuickFix goes back to your allowance and your earlier version stays where it was. The same applies if a replacement fails partway through staging: the QuickFix is returned and the earlier result is restored.

If a finished photo has no QuickFix link at all, contact QuickStage support and we'll look into it.

How do you write a correction that works first time? The What-Where-Keep note

Our rule of thumb for a QuickFix note has three parts, in this order:

  1. What: name the object. "The framed picture", "the armchair", "the floor lamp".
  2. Where: name the location, both where it is now and where it should go or that it should go away. "Off the window and onto the wall to the left of it."
  3. Keep: say what should stay. "Keep the sofa and rug where they are." The photo is re-generated, not patched, so this is how you ask for the good parts again.

Put together, for example: "Take the framed picture off the window and hang it on the left wall. Keep the sofa and rug as they are."

Two habits make the note work harder:

  • One change per request. A note that asks for one thing is easy to check. If a photo has two separate problems, say the more important one first and keep both short.
  • Describe the room, not your feelings about it. "Furniture blocks the fireplace" gives the re-do something to act on. "Looks off" doesn't.

When should you restage the photo instead of using QuickFix?

Use a new upload and a photo credit, not a QuickFix, when:

  • You want a different style or room type. QuickFix carries over the ones you picked. For example, switching a bedroom to a home office means staging it again.
  • The source photo is the problem. Every re-do starts from the same upload, so a dark, tilted or badly cropped original needs replacing first.
  • You want two versions to compare. A QuickFix replaces the earlier result. Staging the photo twice gives you both.

And one case where neither is right: don't use a correction to cover a stain, crack, damaged floor or anything else a buyer would want to know about. QuickFix is for staging mistakes, never for hiding defects.

Whichever route you take, label the final photo as virtually staged when it goes on a listing. California requires a disclosure plus access to the unaltered original (Business and Professions Code §10140.8), and many MLSs have their own rule. This isn't legal advice; check your MLS and broker.

Bottom line

QuickFix re-stages one photo from your typed note and never costs a photo credit. Plans include 7, 20, 50 or 100 a month, the allowance resets with your billing cycle, and new visitors get one free. Write the note as What-Where-Keep, ask for one change at a time, and check the whole frame before you download.

Frequently asked questions

How does QuickFix work in QuickStage, and does it use a photo credit?

QuickFix re-stages one photo with a correction you type on your results page, and it never uses a photo credit. It draws on a separate allowance: 7 a month on Basic, 20 on Pro, 50 on Studio and 100 on Agency, plus one free QuickFix for new visitors.

Where is the QuickFix button in QuickStage?

It's on your results page, under each finished photo, below the download link. It reads "QuickFix — re-stage if the AI made a mistake" and shows how many QuickFixes you have left.

Do pay-as-you-go photos come with QuickFix?

Pay-as-you-go credits buy staged photos at $1 each and don't add QuickFixes. The monthly QuickFix allowance comes with a plan, and every new visitor gets one free QuickFix alongside the three free photos.

What happens when I run out of QuickFix re-dos?

QuickStage tells you that you've used your QuickFix allowance for the period and that it resets with your next billing cycle. You can wait for the reset or stage the photo again as a new upload, which uses one photo credit.

Can I use QuickFix to change the style of a staged photo?

No. A QuickFix re-stages the same uploaded photo with the room type and style you already picked. To get a different style or room type, upload the photo again and stage it as a new photo, which uses a credit.

What should I type in a QuickFix request?

Name the object, say where it is and where it should go, and say what to keep. For example: "Take the framed picture off the window and hang it on the left wall. Keep the sofa and rug as they are." Ask for one change at a time.
